Quite recently, I've been perplexed by a pattern that lies squarely in the realm of the atypical. The pattern I speak of, made itself known to me through pure coincidence, in fact, by an abundance of coincidence. By comparing the data I had been collecting from my observations, a paradigm of relativity made itself apparant. Basically, certian parts of my life too closely mirrored each other to be deniable. I started to view the Phases and Cycles of my life as being congruent on superficial as well as deeply meaningful levels. I can't help but accept the idea that there is some hidden order in all the choas that envelopes my every action. Just as quantum physics will some day explain the mysteries of the universe, so too will I try in this post to explain the governing factors of my very own life.
To start things off I should clarify the differences in the phases, cycles, and experiences that compose the view of my existence. I see my life as being made up of phases, both large and small. Some phases may last for several years and may overlap the other smaller phases that might last only several hours. The phases are a sort of timeline that chronicles the events that occur within it. The cycles are the underpinnings of the path which I follow as time passes. Basically the cycles denote data that governs aspects of the experiences that are strewn about throughout the cycle's progression. Such data might be; duration of hightened awareness. Experiences are the third part to the equation,.. they are small instances imbedded into the phases. They are essentially small occurences that provide an expansion of mind. It is the information gained from experiences that will be used to add to or modify my belief system,. which in turn governs my every action. It should be noted that experiences are not smaller phases. However, the smallest phases co-incide with experiences. Experiences are the outside forces acting upon my inner structure. The phase simply exists as a timeline that follows the experience. Also, the phases have certian attributes associated with them,. such as a marker denoting the level of intensity of the experience. All the phases attributes are quantitative values,. such as "duration of heightened awareness". The timeline that follows the experiences can be directly comparable to a phase, however a phase does not neccessarily have to be congruent with the experiences. The difference between cycles and phases is that, Cycles are the "path" that dictates how the experiences connect to one another,. whereas Phases are the overview of a group of experiences, or even smaller phases. I have three main Ideas concerning the cycles, phases, and experiences of my life. The first is that each phase can be compared to other groups of phases,. or to my life as a whole. The second point is that each cycle's end can be summed up as the average of the highs and lows of my experiences. The third idea is that the end result of each cycle effects the other cycles that it predates and also the life as a whole.
Each group of phases can be compared to other groups of phases. I find that many of the cycle's underpinings are congruent. Basically the quantitative values assigned to points on the timeline remain consistant. Again and again, the same patterns can be found throughout the cycles and phases. Mostly, the congruencies can be found in the underpinnings,. such as,. stretch of difficulty in sittuation, or period of happiness relative to environment. These congruencies are an important factor becuase they provide an example of how sittuations all tie together. All congruencies are in relative terms,. in other words there are other variables that differ from one sittuation to the next, but are still seen as being congruent given the type of sittuation it is in. Such variables include duration, level of environmental energy, relative difficulty in given sittuation, degree of uncertianty in sittuation and/or, amount of effort applied to sittuation.
Each cycle's end can be summed up as the average of the highs and lows of my experiences. As I make my way through an experience I use the information I have to guide me, and I take the information I learn to then apply to my life,. however after its all said and done, I will have forgotten some of the subtleties of the lesson,. so now the end result is the average of the experience versus my capacity to learn from it, minus certian failures of my memory,…
The end result of each cycle effects the cycles that come after it and also the life as a whole. There is a certian importance of this factor because it's result is factored into other equations which in turn dictate how other cycles will be laid out. Such an equation might be,. P+N/C=X-M-P Whereas,.. P=Previously Gained Experience; N=New Obstacle to Overcome; C=Capacity to Learn From New Experiences; M=Failure of Memory X=Amount of Expansion given to Mind. This may not be entirely accurate given various hidden variables such as, amount of effort applied to learning, or obscurity of true purpose, however it provides a clean example of how a factor such as previously gained experience plays into a later cycle's underpinnings.
There are two major variables concerning all these issues,. One is cognisance of sittuation,. In other words,. how sure I am that I am doing the right thing,. The second,. Is the amount of effort I put into learning from experiences. If I am unsure about what I am supposed to be doing,. it will intrude on my performance and ability to copmplete that which I am working on,. just as if I had not tried as hard to make the best of any given sittuation,.. As I grow from my experiences I slowly start to evolve into a new conglomerate of what I previously was. As This happens, the smaller phases start to mock larger phases of my previous self. Given that this is true, it means that there is some kind of hierachy that says how far the different levels(size) of cycles can push the proverbial envelope,.. In other words the smaller phases are a way in which to try out new things that can be applied in a relative sense to the larger versions,.. The smaller and more insignificant a Cycle, the farther and larger new strategies of learning can be applied to them.
It should be noted that not only are the phases relative, but also the instances, or experiences. They too have quantitative values, such as difficulty, or length of time needed to complete. As an example lets say that I'm trying to learn spanish,. I have a hard time wrapping my head around some of the concepts of the language,. well in an obscure way I might experience smaller instances of the same thing yet on a smaller scale such as I had a hard time opening my new CD,. It is my theory that my mind goes through the same processes when I battle these obsticles,. no matter how unconnected they may seem,…
